decent numbers, sometimes very common on wetland sites, although numbers have
declined since the turn of the century.

Muslin Moth

Common and widespread, except
perhaps for inland Exmoor.&nbsp; Seems always
to have been more abundant on the Levels than elsewhere.&nbsp; Numbers seem to have declined – there are
very few recent records of 10 or more moths at light whereas this was not
unusual at the turn of the century.

Clouded Buff

A local moth of moors and heathland, patchily distributed in Britain. It may also be found on calcareous grassland and open woodland.&nbsp; Most county records come from Exmoor, the Quantocks and the Brendon Hills. Males may be active during the day and will come to light.
