Feathered Ranunculus

Essentially a coastal moth in Somerset.&nbsp; The distribution map gives a false impression - the vast majority of records are from coastal situations (where it can be frequent in gardens), and, whilst it occurs inland, this is infrequently and in small numbers, becoming scarcer the further one is from the coast.

Black Rustic

Common and widespread across the county, apart from a distribution gap in inland Exmoor that is as likely to be caused by an absence of recorders as an absence of moths.

Brindled Ochre

No recent records; in the mid-20th century fairly regularly reported coastally, especially around Weston-super-Mare and Minehead (being described as 'common' in Minehead in 1959, for example).
