    Associated with gorse Ulex spp, and restricted by the range of its hostplants, though can occur in good numbers even at quite isolated sites (Haydon batch, near Radstock, being a good example).  Abundant at some sites on the Mendip scarp and in the Poldens.  Likely to be more widespread than the maps indicate on Exmoor.
