Star-wort

A nationally scarce species of saltmarshes and open woodland, found mainly on the south and east coasts of England and south-west and north-west Wales.&nbsp; It may have been more widespread in the past. There has been just a couple of 20th century county records.

The Shark

Fairly widespread, though absent
from a chunk of east Somerset.&nbsp; Still
recorded fairly frequently in low numbers, though numbers have clearly fallen
since the turn of the century.

Chamomile Shark

A scarce moth in Somerset, not being
recorded every year.&nbsp; Always most frequent
south and west of a line between Bridgwater and Yeovil.&nbsp;
