This moth flies by day and is
often overlooked as a pyralid – some of the genus Pyrausta are superficially
similar. It is, therefore, under-recorded.&nbsp;
Although fairly widespread across much of the county, it must have
declined significantly through the destruction of the flower-rich places where
it lives.

being frequently reported in small numbers.
