Shaded Case-bearer

This moth is usually recorded by finding its larval cases, which are usually found in Somerset on agrimony, though also on bramble and salad burnet.&nbsp; Eight records to date, scattered across the county, with none west of Taunton or north of the Mendips.

Osier Case-bearer

Requiring dissection as an adult, most records are of the larval cases.&nbsp; The usual foodplants are Salix species (sallows, willows and osiers, especially the former in Somerset), but at Shapwick Heath at least it has been found several times using bog-myrtle Myrica gale.&nbsp; One of the less rarely recorded coleophorids, it probably occurs throughout the county.

Two records of this coleophorid, which is polyphagous on deciduous trees, from Porlock Beach in 1991 and 1995.&nbsp;
