Yarrow Case-bearer

One of the most frequently recorded coleophorids, as the cases are easy to find over the winter on the seed-heads of yarrow Achillea millefolium and occasionally sneezewort Achillea ptarmica.&nbsp; It is also occasionally recorded at light, and seems to be found across most, if not all, of Somerset.

Hedge Case-bearer

On the evidence to date, widely but thinly distributed across the county.&nbsp; Usually recorded at light, but sometimes as a larval case on species of Stellaria and Cerastium.

Ochreous Case-bearer

Rare, mostly recorded as a larval case on greater stitchwort Stellaria holostea.&nbsp; Taunton (1908), West Luccombe (1989), Blackford (1996), Higher Vexford (2020 - not yet mapped), Asham Wood (2020).
