Sandy Case-bearer

Fairly widely distributed in the hills and woods around Porlock, and also single records from Ash Priors Common (2007) and Asham Wood near Frome (2020).&nbsp; It does come to light, but most records are of larval cases, on greater stitchwort Stellaria holostea (sea campion Silene uniflora can also be used).

Spikenard Case-bearer

A scatter of records of larval cases across the county, from fleabane Pulicaria dysenterica, ploughman's spikenard Inula conyzae and (once) from elecampane Inula helenium.

Woundwort Case-bearer

One of the county's most frequently recorded coleophorids, with many of the records being of adults attracted to light.&nbsp; Rather less frequently found as a larval case, and all Somerset records are from Hedge Woundwort Stachys sylvatica, although other, closely-related foodplants are used elsewhere in the country.
