The Sallow

    Cirrhia icteritia

    NoctuidaeABH 73.182 B&F 2274

Still widespread across the county, but numbers appear to be in decline, which matches the national picture.  The moth seems to be fairly frequently met with in some areas (around Frome, for example) but absent from others nearby (Shepton Mallet, Midsomer Norton).  The moth is variable, both in the shade of yellow that forms the ground colour and in the strength and extent of the pink markings.

    Adult Verification Grade: 1
