Autumn Green Carpet

A moth in decline in Somerset as it is nationally.&nbsp; Recorded most years in low numbers up till 2015, when records rather abruptly ceased until two examples turned up in 2021 at Timsbury.&nbsp; A moth to look for in lightly wooded areas on the fringes of Exmoor and the Quantocks, which are rarely trapped in its very late flight season.

Still a common and widespread moth, though numbers recorded appear to have fallen over the last 15 years.<br>

A fairly common moth, perhaps under-recorded because it flies very late in the season (and again very early in the season after overwintering).&nbsp; It is found across the county, but more frequently where the foodplant, oak, is dominant in woodland.
