The Nutmeg

Still a regularly recorded moth, though somewhat local in distribution and numbers are much reduced compared with 50 years ago.&nbsp; Largely absent from the county's upland areas.

Feathered Gothic

A local species in Somerset, sometimes common where it occurs.&nbsp; Most widespread in the south and west of the county, and on Mendip.&nbsp; Absent from large areas of central and eastern Somerset.

Antler Moth

A moth of upland, semi-natural acidic grassland and heather moors, where it can be locally extremely common.&nbsp; Widespread on Exmoor, Quantock and Mendip, though apparently absent from the Blackdowns and from the peatlands on the Levels.&nbsp; There are occasional wanderers found elsewhere in the county.
