Essentially an Exmoor species, being particularly numerous at Haddon Hill and around Simonsbath, occasionally wandering into the lowlands where it seems particularly inclined to migrate along the coast northwards from Burnham-on-Sea.  Like many grass-moths, it flies by day as well as at night.
