The Many-lined

Recorded as a resident in some Cambridgeshire fens in the mid-19th century,&nbsp; the species became extinct soon after and was not recorded again in the UK till 1993, as an immigrant.&nbsp; Since then there have been sporadic records of immigrants along the south coast of England. There is one record from Somerset in June 2000.

Royal Mantle

Once confined largely to the Taunton district, this local species has been encountered more widely, albeit in small numbers, in the 21st century. Found on calcareous soils.

Scarce, local and irregularly occurring across the county, with a slight preference for the higher ground in the west.<br>
