recorded as a leaf-miner on sycamore and as an adult to light.&nbsp; With the recent arrival of C. honoratella in the county,
identification now requires a dissected adult.

Fairly common and widespread.&nbsp; Most records are of leaf-mines on alder, but
it also comes to light.&nbsp; Adults that have not been reared need
dissection to separate them from C.
betulicola.

A scarce leaf-miner on birch,
largely restricted to areas where birch occurs naturally.&nbsp; Recorded both as a leaf-mine and as an adult
to light; adults not reared from the foodplant need dissection to separate them from C. elongella.
