    A resident and suspected immigrant species of vegetated coastal shingle and bare ground, not recorded in Britain till 1939, when it was recorded in East Sussex. Since then it has expanded its range along the south-east coastlines and into London and parts of East Anglia. Inland it has occurred on verges, waste land, brownfield sites and gardens. The first county record was in  2013, since when a few more have been recorded
