    A moth that has expanded greatly since the turn of the century from its strongholds around Bristol and Bath.  It can now be found across most of the county, appearing absent from Quantock and Exmoor away from the coast.  The moth is attracted to light and also flies in the evening.  The brightly-coloured larvae are frequently recorded in the spring, feeding on comfreys and related plants.
