Argyresthia conjugella

    Apple Fruit Moth

    ArgyresthiidaeABH 20.019 B&F 418

Fairly scarce, being reported in small numbers most years, but not every year.  The principal foodplant is Rowan Sorbus aucuparia, and unsurprisingly the moth is commonest in upland south and west Somerset – the Quantocks, Blackdowns and Exmoor.  It is no doubt under-recorded, especially on Exmoor.
