Blackthorn Argent

Recorded both to light and as sightings of adults by
day.&nbsp; Scattered records across the county
and appears widely distributed, though seems to be recorded less frequently
than it was even as recently as 20 years ago.

Apple-fruit Moth

Fairly scarce, being reported in small numbers most years,
but not every year.&nbsp; The principal
foodplant is Rowan <i>Sorbus aucuparia</i>,
and unsurprisingly the moth is commonest in upland south and west Somerset –
the Quantocks, Blackdowns and Exmoor.&nbsp; It
is no doubt under-recorded, especially on Exmoor.
