Scarce; recent records from Taunton, the Blackdowns, the
Quantocks and Great Breach Wood.

Hawthorn Argent

Fairly common from the Mendips north, scarce and local in
the rest of the county.&nbsp; A visitor to
light, but a high number of field records of individuals beaten/swept/observed,
suggesting this moth is only weakly attracted to light.&nbsp; 

Purple Argent

Scarce and thinly-scattered across the county; unlike a
number of other blackthorn-feeders, it is not restricted to central/southern
Somerset.
