limestone grassland; associated with bird’s foot trefoil <i>Lotus corniculatus</i>.

White-streak Sober

A species of calcareous sites, feeding in spinnings on bird's foot trefoil.&nbsp; There is no shortage of potential sites in parts of the county, but it has not been recorded since Turner (1955) listed two very old records for Taunton in 1913 and Bathampton for 1917.&nbsp; Requires dissection of an adult to be certain of identification.

White-trap Sober

Generally associated with greater bird's foot trefoil on damp sites, but occasionally uses closely related hostplants.&nbsp; Adults require dissection, but rearing from the early stages on greater bird's foot trefoil can sometimes provide a certain ID - see Gelechiid Recording Scheme website for further details.&nbsp; Eleven records to date, scattered across the county with a
slight bias towards the north and east.
