    A. petryi is the true identity of the species formerly recorded as A. treitschkiella in Somerset.  It is usually recorded as a leaf-miner on dogwood Cornus sanguinea, and needs to be distinguished with care from another relative, A. metallella.  A. petryi is considerably the commoner of the two species and occurs right across the county, perhaps being more abundant in the east.
