light in gardens.&nbsp; Not recorded in the
Quantocks or Exmoor.

A single record, from Shapwick in
1910.&nbsp; The moth is associated with
buckthorns, which are still present in the area, although this is a well-recorded part of the county.

Common Roller

Other than <i>A. achatana</i>,
this species is the most frequently recorded of this large genus – but it is
strangely local, confined to the Blackdowns and from the Mendips
northwards.&nbsp; Numbers seem to have
declined since the turn of the century.
