Dark-fringed Flat-body

Much more common and widespread than its close relation sharing gorse as a foodplant, A. umbellana.&nbsp; Reasonably frequent in the western uplands and regularly recorded around Berrow and Burnham-on-Sea; also on gorse-rich sites on the Mendips.<br>

Pale Flat-body

Found long ago in the south of the county - Bickenhall (1954) and Haselbury Plucknett (1930s) - but not recorded since.&nbsp; Likely to be extinct, but might possibly still exist on high-quality calcareous grassland, perhaps on the Mendips.<br>

Gorse Flat-body

A gorse-feeder, recorded regularly at West Luccombe on Exmoor until 2000, and not unreasonable to suppose it might still occur in the area.&nbsp; Several more recent records from Burnham-on-Sea and Lympsham that are hard to interpret, and may represent migrants.&nbsp; Noted at Bickenhall in the Blackdowns in 1950, but not since in this area.<br>
