Long-barred Yellow Conch

Rare and local, with over half the records coming from a Burnham-on-Sea garden in 2006.&nbsp; The moth seems to be slightly less rare near the coast.

Short-barred Yellow Conch

Rare and very local - seven records in all, the most recent in 2006, six from the Berrow/Burnham-on-Sea area, and one not too far removed, from Bridgwater in 1960.

Hemlock Yellow Conch

Fairly widespread across the county as far west as Taunton; appears to be established on Steep Holm (records in 1933 and 2014).&nbsp; Occasional field observations by day, but usually observed at light.&nbsp; The usual foodplant is Hemlock <i>Conium maculatum</i>, but it will also use Alexanders <i>Smyrnium olusatrum</i>, which can be locally common coastally.
