Broad-barred Knot-horn

Recorded most years in low numbers, and thinly distributed right across the county.&nbsp; Generally recorded as an adult to light, but there are a few records of the larvae and their spinnings on oaks, and it is one of the more likely of the Pyralidae to be recorded in its early stages.

Thicket Knot-horn

A fairly common species that seems to be prone to boom-and-bust cycles of abundance.&nbsp; Although it seems to occur across the county, the vast majority of records are coastal.&nbsp; It comes to light, including in gardens.

Marbled Knot-horn

A scarce species, less frequently recorded than <i>A. suavella</i>, which shares the same foodplant.&nbsp; It is rather less predominately coastal than that species and is found - thinly - right across the county.
