Garden Rose Tortrix

As the scientific name suggests, quite variable in its appearance.&nbsp; Very frequent in small numbers to garden lights; relatively scarce, if not altogether absent, in the less-populated areas of the county.

Dark-streaked Button

A former national rarity, now expanding its range to the north.&nbsp; Taken regularly by A. R. Hayward from Ashlands Coppice, Haselbury Plucknett, 1926-1938 (one of the few locations for it in the country at the time), but not heard from again till turning up in Wells in 2004 and 2006.&nbsp; Since then it has been found more or less annually, thinly distributed across the county but not yet recorded west of Bridgwater/Taunton.

Tufted Button

Widespread but never really common, being attracted to lights in gardens and elsewhere in small numbers.
