Yellow Horned

    Achlya flavicornis

    DrepanidaeABH 65.016 B&F 1659

A birch-feeder, under-recorded through flying early in the year, but undeniably local in occurrence.  Most frequently reported from the Quantocks and Blackdowns.  No 21st century records from Leigh Woods/south of Bristol, the Mendips and Shapwick/Westhay - does this represent a species decline, or lack of recording early in the year in these areas?
